Had an interesting experience last night thanks to my wonderful hubbie.

He had made a deal with a local artist who makes masks to make one for me on trade for some photography work.

Last night we all had dinner and after I got to experience the plaster mold experience, which also turned into one of the oddist facials I've ever experienced, lol.

My goal is a Bast inspired Pharonic mask that I can use in ritual, and I can't wait to see what comes of it!

Thank you, sweetie, this is really wonderful and I love you so much. :)

It's bound to be a good game, I think! The Saints are going to their first Superbowl ever after some of the hardest troubles that city has ever been through... so I can't knock them for defeating the Vikings too much. ;P

Sure, I wanted Brett to be able to prove all those people telling him he was too old wrong... heck, I think since he got even closer this time he may be back again!

But I can feel comfortable knowing the Saints won, and I've never minded the Colts.

When we were watching the Jets v. Colts game, my hubbie thought that the Jets were going to win. Me, I took one look at Peyton Manning's face and said "Oh no...see that? He's pissed. No way the Jets are going to win after they ruined their chance at a perfect season!"

It was only a matter of time till Manning figured the Jets out, and then it was "Nah Nah Nah Nah, Hey hey hey, goodbye."

Anyway... back to work!

Why yes, it does look like I can access the site again! YAY!

Things may be a bit different for a while though... because what with the state of the world (Hati, Fox's boner over Brown in MA, the Bengals losing in the 1st round, the Supreme Asshat Court letting big business buy elections, etc) and the state of my personal world (hubbie losing his job).... I just really...REALLY don't feel like subjecting myself to the news anymore.

In fact, I found myself quite a lot happier without it, lol. Now I know how all those ignorant people feel. Though this is me we're talking about... so chances are I'll be back to reading it again some time... but I think it will require better financial footing again.

So what have I been doing for escapism in my depression? My best friends got me into a rather entertaining online game, that while directed at kids, has quite an adult following:

I admit that the world they have dedicated to Ancient Egypt is what drew me in... and the world with the Norse theme isn't bad either! I don't suppose anyone out there plays this? If so, I usually play from 11pm to 1am EST weeknights if anyone wants to meet up!

Ooo...could it be? Cross your fingers, people... I might be back! Getting ready to go home now, so let's see if I can still access my LJ at work in the morning...

Now he's locked the keys in the car...
